AEGEE turned 33 years old this year, on On 16th of April. Parties were a very important part of every event since the foundation. AEGEE’s creator Franck Biancheri once said that the parties were essential for the integration of people – thus also the very first event, EGEE I, had many parties, including a European Night. But what music were the participants dancing to? We cannot know exactly, but here is a compilation of 15 of the biggest danceable hits of the period April 1984 till April 1985. Alexandra Vilcu and I had a thorough look at hundreds of top ten songs and came up with this final playlist, listed in the order of their chart positions. Enjoy!
